Anthem Blue Cross won't accept automatic credit card payments anymore
Anthem Blue Cross informs customers that the payment method will be discontinued Aug. 1. Those who want to keep paying with credit cards will have to call a service rep and be charged a $15 'convenience fee.' Most businesses are eager to have people pay their monthly bills with automatic credit card payments. There's a good reason: Businesses know they will get paid on a regular basis.

Jet Blue Airways Sends Red Cross Help
There are almost 130 Red Cross volunteers helping in the flood relief effort in North Dakota. They represent 27 states. One group that just arrived came from New York as part of a program to support the Red Cross.

Blue Cross seeks dismissal of Pontiac lawsuit over contracts
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan said it filed a motion today in federal court to dismiss a lawsuit filed against it and other hospitals by the City of Pontiac, alleging the nonprofit insurer's use of certain clauses in hospital contracts stifles competition and drives up insurance rates for consumers.
