Blue Cross, Attorney General Schuette agree to Medigap rate freeze
Jay Greene - Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan has agreed to a five-year freeze on premiums for thousands of seniors who purchase Medicare supplemental insurance, or Medigap.

Blues Medigap coverage rates to be frozen
Monthly insurance rates will be frozen for five years in Michigan for 200,000 seniors with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan supplemental Medicare policies, as part of an agreement announced Thursday by Michigan's attorney general that lets the insurer move ahead with plans to buy a Pennsylvania Medicaid company. The rate freeze is retroactive to Aug. 1 and extends through July 31, 2016.
