Fiesta Bowl band championship in Glendale (The Arizona Republic)
The Mountain Ridge High School Band from Glendale is representing Arizona in the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona Fiesta Bowl National Band Championship, on Friday, Dec. 28 at University of Phoenix Stadium. They'll also march in the Fort McDowell Fiesta Bowl Parade Saturday, Dec. 29.

Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott announced Friday a $250,000 award to Plainview-based Regence Health Network, Inc. The $250,000 award is funded by a recent settlement between the attorney general and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas.

St. Joseph Health, Blue Cross renew contract (BizJournals)
St. Joseph Health System and Blue Cross of California said late Thursday they've agreed to renew a contract for HMO and PPO health-care services in Napa, Sonoma, Humboldt, Orange and San Bernardino counties.
