IRDA fines SBI Life Insurance Rs.70 lakh
Chennai, July 9 (IANS) The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDA) has imposed a fine of Rs.70,00,000 on SBI Life Insurance company for paying around Rs.204 crore to eight of its corporate agents and six master policyholders, far in excess of the stipulated levels.

Top-up trouble
A few days ago, a senior official of a private life insurance company was telling that the sale of riders with base policies has gone up significantly since September following a drop in sales of regular premium policies.
