Baucus aims to extend middle-class tax cuts (Billings Gazette)
WASHINGTON - Sen. Max Baucus, D-Mont., introduced a bill Thursday to make Bush-era tax cuts aimed at the middle class permanent, despite warnings from tax experts who questioned the cuts' effectiveness and whether the federal government can afford them.
