More than 37,000 in state reportedly overpay for medicines (The Springfield News-Leader)
Medicare officials say more than 37,000 Missourians are overpaying for their medicines because they haven't applied for an extra-help program.

JONESBORO It s a confusing time of year for many seniors. Those turning 65 are being inundated with mail from insurance companies selling Medicare plans. Others who have been on Medicare already are receiving notices from their providers telling them of potential changes to their plans.

First District Health Unit is giving flu shots to people of all ages: Weekdays, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., 801-11th Ave. SW, south entrance. People do not need appointments. The cost is $30. People should bring their health insurance card, Medicare card, Medicare Part D card and/or Medicaid card.
