PINCKNEYVILLE - The room was packed and emotions ran high as the Pinckneyville Community Hospital board met to discuss the finances and future of the hospital and its skilled care unit.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. A recent study by the North Carolina Hospital Association revealed the growing number of uninsured patients is costing hospitals and those with insurance plenty of money.

IT is sad for Chiltern that its friendly little bush nursing hospital will be closed. (The Border Mail)
As president Colin Glanville says, the money isn t there to keeping it going. While built and supported by the Chiltern community since 1957, this is not a public hospital and depends on patients with private health insurance.
