Bird flu has spread to another Vietnamese province, with an H5N1 outbreak hitting a flock of young ducks on a Mekong Delta farm, the animal health department in Hanoi said Monday.

The European Commission and Germany on Monday agreed to implement a 15-kilometre (10-mile) buffer zone around a Bavarian farm after the discovery of the highly pathogenic strain of H5N1 bird flu, an EU spokesman said.
